Today I officially resigned from full time work as a Doctor! This was certainly not a decision I made lightly but felt the only way to truly satisfy my ambition was to do everything in my power to achieve my goals. My major goal at this point in my life is to qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Although it is scary leaving the security of my job and income, particularly in a minority sport, I am very happy to be able to focus full time on training. My medical career will be there for years to come but my shot at getting to the games is now and I have to do everything in my power to seize this opportunity.
